It's Monday Again!

I hope everyone has had a good start to their week. Things are beginning to settle down a bit for me this week and I am looking forward to Wednesday night. I had to work last Wednesday night and I missed all of you so much! I have made the blog private now. Please encourage those who have not signed up yet to join us. I have made a Tea Room Guest profile for anyone who wants to read but has not been able to sign up yet. You may email me for the guest password if you know of someone who needs to sign in as a guest. A few ladies have asked me to help them and I will as soon as we can get together. Please don't hesitate to call me if you know anyone who needs my help!

Awesome Class

I think the Ladies' class on Wednesday night is awesome. The lessons are so uplifting and the sharing sessions are very encouraging. Thank you, Debbie, for all that you do. Barbara, you have been a wonderful role model, as well.

Welcome Back Joann!

Joann, we have missed you so much in our Wednesday night class. I am so happy that you are back with us. Your comments and prayers are very uplifting to me!

Hopefully things will get back to normal for us after a hectic week of getting ready for the first week of school. Elizabeth and Will went back to Auburn on Saturday. I am going to miss them so much! I am emailing some instructions to all our bloggers who are having trouble logging in to post. Let me or Joann know if we can help you in any way!

The author of our book, Jane, tells us that there comes a time when bridges must be burned. That we should take the lessons learned from our experience and go forward, putting our past in the back of our minds. "Thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away" (Job 11:16).

Jane shares her favorite poem with us that she received from several friends after she was hospitalized following an automobile accident in which she was critically injured. She said that she would pull it out from under her pillow on her hospital bed several times each day and read it over and over. It is on page 66 in our book, "The End Of The Road Is But A Bend In The Road" by Helen Steiner Rice.

The poem says we should LET GO and LET GOD share our load. It is so hard to let go but I have found that he really does take care of things when I completely turn it over to Him. It is truly the peace that passeth understanding.

Incredible video about the relationship between a father and son and God's relationship with us.

Hi Everyone!
First of all I would like to say that I am glad to be back in class. I stayed in class with Robert while I was wearing the cervical collar so he could keep me from falling off the bench if I went to sleep (pain medication!). Thanks to everyone for the prayers, food, cards, calls and "well wishes" while I have been recuperating. It is wonderful to know that I have so many friends sending up prayers for me.
This blog is a great idea! I believe it will bring us closer as a group and will give us another opportunity to get emotionally connected to our Christian sisters. Janis, thanks for all your hard work in technology! If anyone needs help setting up a G-Mail account, let me know and I'll be glad to help you.

Debbie,
I want you know how much I appreciated your lesson on fear Wed. night. I have been very fearful this summer - not really knowing until last week if I would be able to go back to school when it started and learning to deal with not being very active for the summer. I was taught as a child,

"Don't worry about it if you cannot do anything about it!"

and it stuck with me throughout life. Over the years, it has become easier for me to put things in God's hands because I know that he has a better plan than I do!
Happy Thursday to all readers!!

Our Lesson Tonight

Debbie gave us some good food for thought tonight concerning our lesson "How Can We Handle Problems When They Come?". I wish I had taken notes (maybe I will next week) so I could post some of the comments made. One is that we all have our problems but we can always look around and see someone else who is in worse shape than we are. God allows things to happen to us to help make our faith stronger. He wants us to need Him and to dilligently seek Him, not just in times of trouble but 24/7. Thank you Debbie for all you do! You are awesome!
